WELL Building Certification
SIG Consulting Services for WELL Building Certification
SIG has been an early adopter (and promoter) of the WELL Building Standard by helping our clients prioritize the health and safety of their employees and tenants and the environment. The WELL building standard helps create a commitment to putting people first and investing in strategies that better the community. We believe in the people behind healthy buildings and want to help you invest in your tenants and make a difference in the environment. Our passion is to help you easily obtain certifications for your new and existing projects.
SIG has five WELL APs in-house and two WELL Faculty members to offer a well-balanced, inclusive partnership. We have a solid relationship with Delos and the International WELL Building Institute to help streamline the certification process and are WELL Enterprise Partners.
Our team has worked on hundreds of green building and wellness projects; we have the experience, resources and passion for helping you stand out as a sustainability and wellness leader. We want to work with you to help invest in the health of people and the environment for years to come.
WELL Feasibility Studies
A feasibility study is the ideal first step in analyzing a new or existing building against the WELL rating system. Our feasibility studies include an in-depth interview with your leadership team and focused research by consultants to understand your building systems and goals. The result of this effort is a report outlining any gaps towards a potential certification. The total engagement is typically complete within 4-6 weeks of signing an agreement. Our goal is to deliver the big picture for a small investment!

The standard defines health and wellness in the built environment using 10 concepts.

WELL offers a roadmap to promoting the health and wellbeing of your tenants and workforce, allowing you to be a successful sustainability leader in your industry. It has now been adopted for more than 4,000 projects in over 60 countries, including by Fortune 500 companies such as JP Morgan Chase, Uber, Netflix, and T-Mobile. WELL offers a unique opportunity to prioritize and invest in your people and community.
How to Use WELL
The WELL Building Standard can be used for three project types: New and Existing Buildings, New and Existing Interiors, and Core and Shell. The approval process is done through a third-party certification procedure run by IWBI and Green Business Certification Inc (GBCI). GBCI also certifies LEED green building applications, and strong efforts were made to synergize the two rating systems to provide a simplified, user-friendly experience. The WELL Building Standard V2.0 was piloted in 2018 and made official in Fall, 2020. Click here to learn how this lasted version differs to the first.
