Charlie Cichetti is a premier instructor on LEED, having over 16 years of experience in commercial construction, real estate development, project management, and LEED consulting after completing his degree in Business Management from the College of Business at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has been committed to the development of the green building industry throughout his career, as he has not only lead SIG, but also another company, GBES, which has resulted in him facilitating training sessions that have helped tens of thousands of professionals obtain LEED accreditation.
Nick Kassanis is the Senior Vice President – Business Development and Technical Services here at Sustainable Investment Group (SIG), and he also runs the company’s San Francisco office. In this role, he focuses on managing Commissioning, Retro-Commissioning, Energy Modeling, ASHRAE Level I & II Energy Audit projects and LEED related scope, while also helping the company grow business nationwide. Nick is a licensed Professional Engineer with extensive energy modeling experience having modeled over 10 million square feet of office, laboratory, university, hospital, school, mixed-use and warehouse projects. Nick specializes in the integrated design process for new construction projects and in-depth retro-commissioning investigations to promote energy efficiency and building operating staff training. On top of being a Professional Engineer, Nick is also a Certified Building Commissioning Professional and certified in LEED AP Building Design and Construction.
Kristina Bach serves as Vice President of Innovation with Sustainable Investment Group (SIG). In this role, she provides insights into emerging trends, software and technology within the built environment. Her focus is on developing new resources for SIG’s consultant teams as well as cultivating new opportunities to better support our clients in meeting their sustainability initiatives.
Kristina utilizes her background in the traditional architectural design and construction realm to help clients integrate sustainability practices within their projects. Her pragmatic approach to certification ensures that clients are incorporating the practices that will best serve their organization’s needs and goals. As a former LEED Reviewer for GBCI, Kristina has helped hundreds of projects achieve LEED certification. Additionally, her project management experience extends to guiding projects through various other sustainability systems including WELL, Living Building Challenge and local standards.
Monica Gonzalez earned her Master of Science in Building Construction and Integrated Facility Management from the Georgia and got her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Interior Design program at the University of Georgia. She has an extensive history of working to increase sustainability in the built environment, as she has directed a variety of LEED projects covering over 40 million gross square feet of buildings. Her interest in green buildings stems from her personal commitment to social responsibility, resource optimization, and healthy living, and she is an experienced teacher in the principles of LEED, having trained hundreds of professionals in the real estate, design, and construction industry on these principles.
Asa Posner’s career has focused solely on sustainability in the built environment. He developed an interest in the effects of urbanization, construction, and human impacts on ecosystem health and parlayed that into a fulfilling career of providing sustainable design, construction, and operations consulting. At SIG, Asa leads the company’s Minneapolis office. With accreditations as a LEED AP BD+C and O+M, he has consulted on over 200 LEED projects encompassing over 50 million square feet of LEED certified space. Asa has worked on many different project types – new construction, major renovations, commercial interiors and tenant build-outs, core and shell developments, K-12 schools, warehouses and distribution centers, data centers, existing office buildings, and even convention centers and sports stadiums.
Bradley Vogel is a leader in the green sports and entertainment industry. He has built his career around greening sports and entertainment facilities, and now has ventured out to become more well rounded in the larger green building industry, specifically in mastering the world of LEED. During Brad’s tenure in the sports industry, he has worked a large variety of positions, from a waste-sort team supervisor at Target Field to the Director of Sustainability at U.S. Bank Stadium, the first stadium to achieve LEED Platinum for Operations and Maintenance.
