Responsibilities
Rae Grant is an Associate Sustainability Consultant on Sustainable Investment Group’s Sustainability Team. Based in Portland, Oregon, Rae assists the sustainability team in delivering projects spanning all phases of the building lifecycle for a large roster of commercial real estate clients.

Education
Rae graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies. Her research focused on equity-driven community planning, sustainable development, and environmental protection. She is currently pursuing LEED Green Associate credentials.

Experience
Rae previously served as a Research Assistant at the University of Oregon, contributing to a project researching and developing an equity map of Eugene, Oregon. This work informed equitable transportation and street design initiatives, analysis of environmental justice patterns, and translating complex data into accessible formats for community stakeholders. Rae has assisted in the project coordination of LEED new construction and commercial interior projects as well as WELL and Fitwel feasibility assessments and certification.

Interests
Rae has always been fascinated by human-nature connections and philosophy. This has translated into a deep appreciation for DIY music culture, finding community in attending local shows and events. Channeling inspiration from these experiences into hobbies such as baking and printmaking allows for a blend of creativity with hands-on craftsmanship. Reading interests focus on sustainability, ecology, and equity, fueling a passion for intersectional environmental justice research.
