Responsibilities
Nicholas Rubenstein is a member of the Consulting Team at Sustainable Investment Group (SIG) as a full-time Senior Sustainability Consultant. In his role, he consults on a multitude of projects as they relate to sustainable design and provides technical expertise on LEED performance standards.
Education
Nick graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and holds professional accreditations for a multitude of sustainable building frameworks.
Experience
Nick brings experience from many different sides of the green building industry, while most recently consulting on numerous sustainability projects in his hometown of Pittsburgh PA. During his final year of college, he interned at a LEED review firm where he gained a deep understanding of the LEED rating system. Nick has worked in facility departments for some of the world’s greenest buildings in the world, where he gained valuable experience bridges the gap between sustainable building design and the operation of such buildings.
Interests
Although an avid amateur-pro bowler, Nick is happiest when he is lounging with his wife, two cats, and two chickens. He spends his free time patronizing local restaurants and bars with friends and family.
Fun Fact
Nick has been using local raw honey to wash his luscious locks since 2014. Not only is it an effective shampoo and sulfate free, it makes showers taste great too!
