
ESG Analyst

Responsibilities
Maya is an ESG Analyst at SIG. In this role, Maya assists with collecting data, conducting research, drafting narratives for ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year, analyzing disclosures, ensuring proper documentation, and developing reporting and data assurance tools.
Education
Maya graduated from Pomona College in 2024 with a double major in Environmental Analysis (Economics track) and Computer Science.
Experience
Maya’s interest in sustainability began as a volunteer for various environmental initiatives in Mumbai and the Colorado Rockies. During her time at Claremont Sustainability Consulting, Green Conscience Consulting, and as academic research assistant in Los Angeles, she gained hands-on experience in projects that addressed issues ranging from decarbonization and climate communications to urban farming and waste management.
Additionally, Maya has background in investment due diligence, which she developed at internships at EY-Parthenon and at an emerging markets-focused asset management firm. She found an opportunity to align this second career track with her interest in sustainability as an ESG research assistant at Y Analytics and has since remained passionate about the field of ESG.
Interests
In her free time, Maya loves making music, learning to play new instruments, backpacking, and visiting national parks. She also enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and pet dog.
