Kenedy is a Sustainability Analyst for the Sustainability Team at SIG. She helps support building certification efforts by assisting sustainability consultants with proper documentation and credits for LEED, Fitwel, and WELL projects.
Kenedy is entering her final year at The Ohio State University and is expecting to graduate in May 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Environment, Economy, Development and Sustainability with a specialization in Sustainability and Business. She is also pursuing her LEED Green Associate in the coming months.
Prior to joining SIG, Kenedy interned at a wholesale greenhouse where she learned about the greenhouse industry and its challenges in the sustainability world. Kenedy also worked as a farm education intern, teaching students about farm animals and letting them experience the animals first-hand.
In the Spring of 2022, Kenedy led a team of students in a Plastic Neutrality project with Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS). The team analyzed plastic certifications and plastic offset options with a Senior Consultant and presented the best options to a panel of board members. The provided options are now being implemented in the company.
In her free time, Kenedy enjoys spending time with her fish tank and cats at home. She is pursuing her Scuba Instructor certification and enjoys going on dives when it’s not too cold. Kenedy likes to research new ways to be sustainable in her daily life, and loves traveling.
