Katherine Glover works with Sustainable Investment Group’s Engineering team as an ESG Consultant. She works with some of the country’s largest REITs to identify and manage risks that pertain to environmental, social and governance issues. More specifically, Katherine collects and analyzes energy, water, waste, and carbon emissions data as a way of measuring the environmental performance of a REIT. She is experienced in responding to several ESG surveys including GRESB, CDP, GRI, and SASB, among others.
In addition to her ESG efforts, Katherine works alongside the engineering team to benchmark buildings through ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. She is responsible for submitting hundreds of buildings for compliance with their local jurisdiction’s energy benchmarking ordinance annually. Katherine plays a crucial role in the ENERGY STAR verification process, ensuring that all the necessary data is obtained and verified. She plays assists in updating the building profiles in Portfolio Manager, scheduling and performing the required site visits, and submitting the applications for award designation.
Katherine graduated from the University of Georgia in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science. She participated in a Sustainable Development study abroad program in Australia and New Zealand where she took courses on Sustaining Human Societies and the Natural Environment.
Since joining the SIG team in 2019, Katherine has played a role in ENERGY STAR Certifications for more than 200 million gross square feet. She is proficient in benchmarking many different building types including commercial office buildings, data centers, multi-family building, among others. Katherine has had a hand in the Corporate ESG initiatives for several of the country’s top performing REITs.
Katherine enjoys traveling and learning about other cultures, biking, running, and spending time with friends. She is passionate about empowering vulnerable populations and loves trying new things. She loves a good book accompanied by a cup of coffee!
