Juliette Nanos is a member of SIG’s Sustainability Team and works as a Sustainability Consultant. She assists on multiple projects related to sustainable and healthy buildings. She also ensures clients are up to date with project-specific documentation requirements and timelines.

Juliette recently graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with Magna Cum Laude honors designation. She has received a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and minors in Business and Geography.

Prior to joining the SIG team, Juliette grew her passion for sustainability and the environment through summer internships and CU Boulder’s extensive Environmental Studies Program. The Huron River Watershed Council, based in Ann Arbor, MI, provided Juliette with the opportunity to gain field experience by collecting erosion rate data of the local watershed to allocate restoration funding provided by the state. She became a Research Assistant for Nanosystems, Inc. and tested the biodegradability of eight different polymers over the course of three months and ultimately contributed to the patenting of the goal-product. Her desire to pursue a career in green building began when she was introduced to CU’s Honors Thesis Program, where she facilitated a case study and wrote an Honors Thesis titled Our Great Energy Challenge: Retrofitting the Existing Housing Market to Become More Energy Efficient. In January 2022, she became a Sustainability Analyst at SIG and was exposed to the great potential of commercial green building in the U.S. and globally.

In her free time, Juliette enjoys hiking with friends, attending live sporting events, sailing with her grandparents, and spending time with her dog. She recently completed a seven-week backpacking trip to South Africa and five countries in Europe, so it is safe to say that traveling is something Juliette thoroughly enjoys!
