Responsibilities
Jessye Vitier works with Sustainable Investment Group’s Consulting team as a Sustainability Consultant. Her duties include helping the SIG consultants and project managers with LEED certification projects. She ensures that all the necessary data required is obtained and verified as LEED compliant by gathering information, documenting, and evaluating key reporting data through out the LEED green building certification timeline.

Education
Jessye recently graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in Biology with a concentration in Ecology. She plans to attend graduate school at Denver University in the summer of 2020 and obtain her M.S. in Environmental Policy and Management specifically in Energy and Sustainability. She recently earned her LEED Green Associate accreditation and Fitwel Ambassador status.

Experience
Before changing to her major of Ecology Jessye attended culinary school and worked as a sous chef for about two years. She then started working at The Kaufmann Clinic where she was Nursing Supervisor at the Woodstock location for eight years. Most recently, Jessye was an intern this past spring at The Blue Heron Nature Preserve. As a Volunteer Coordinator Intern for this nonprofit organization, her major duties included leading volunteer workdays where she would educate the volunteers about the importance of wetlands, removing invasive species, trail maintenance, and habitat restoration. She learned how to document volunteer hours on NEON CRM and helped with the volunteer appreciation events.

Interests
When Jessye is not studying, she likes to spend her free time collecting indoor plants (collection is currently at 42 different species), helping her grandparents out on their farm, hiking, cooking, reading, educating friends and family on how to reduce their carbon footprint, and spending time with her family.
