Responsibilities
George Holz is a member of SIG’s Engineering Team as an Energy Consultant. His primary focus is on Commissioning and Energy Audits while also assisting in LEED projects.

Education
George received a Bachelor in Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Architecture focused on High-Performance Buildings from Georgia Tech. In addition to his studies, George volunteered to assist the construction of a recycling center in Costa Rica as part of a design-build competition at NYIT –where he was a semi-finalist. He was also a member of Georgia Tech’s DOE Race-To-Zero team. George is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM). 

Experience
George has a diverse background with experience in architecture, energy efficiency, budgeting, and estimating. He has an understanding of many sectors such as Healthcare, Residential, Commercial, Municipalities, K-12, and Universities. Previously in his last role, George managed utility accounts and data for benchmarking, budgeting, cost, and analysis purposes across a health system’s portfolio totaling $65 million annually. He was a member of the Energy Steering Committee which set, managed, and tracked Carbon Reduction goals and initiatives for the health system.  

Interests
As an Eagle Scout, George is a family man who enjoys the outdoors. He is an avid hockey fan and beachgoer who also loves doing home improvement projects.
