Gabriella (Gabby) de la Vera is a member of the consulting team at SIG as a Sustainability Consultant specializing in Wellness projects. Based in Oakwood, GA, she is responsible for leading her own projects as well as supporting other consultants as they manage various LEED certifications, Fitwel certifications/recertifications, and WELL/ WELL HSR portfolios. Gabby verifies best sustainable practices for certification, ensuring that all necessary information is obtained, and compliance is verified by gathering, documenting, and evaluating key details throughout each project.

Gabby graduated in Spring of 2022 with her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Georgia. She majored in Environmental Economics and Management with a minor in Environmental Law.

In college, Gabby was involved in a club called Triple Impact Consulting. They partnered with multiple businesses in the Athens, Georgia area to help with their sustainability efforts. Her team was partnered with a sustainable fashion company and helped them to source their products more sustainably. In Summer of 2021, Gabby interned with a nonprofit company called Seaside Sustainability as a Green Consulting Intern and Business Projects Manager. Through this, she was able to get her first taste of consulting with schools and learned a little bit about LEED certification.

At SIG, Gabby has extensive experience leading and documenting Fitwel certifications for first-time buildings, as well as renewals. She also has gotten comfortable with managing and documenting on a handful of different LEED O+M, BD+C, and ID+C project scopes.

Gabby enjoys spending time with friends, watching movies, tv, sports, and hosting game nights. She loves to attend the football, baseball, and basketball games at UGA – even as an alumnus! Additionally, she likes to make time for her physical health by going to the gym and walking outside on the nature trails in her neighborhood!
