New Mountain Capital, a private equity, credit, and net lease investment firm, is a tenant in Paramount Group’s 1633 Broadway in New York City that recently received ENERGY STAR’s Tenant Space Recognition. Occupying over 90,000 square feet across two floors in 1633 Broadway, New Mountain has taken dedicated steps toward monitoring and reducing their energy use and greenhouse gas emissions.

This recognition is awarded to lessees within an office space who both meet the EPA’s energy design criteria and demonstrate that they have taken steps to effectively manage and reduce their energy consumption. Earning this recognition involves a comprehensive application process to report and confirm information on the tenant’s equipment and lighting. Tenants who receive this recognition may have lower utility bills and a smaller carbon footprint for themselves and their lessors.

New Mountain’s lighting performed over 30% better than the required threshold!

Congratulations to New Mountain and Paramount Group for this important achievement and recognition! Special thanks to Pamela Kauppila, Director of ESG Engagement at New Mountain Capital; James Shaw, Accounting/Receivables Manager at New Mountain Capital; Evin Epstein, Senior Vice President for Energy and Sustainability at Paramount Group; and Rachel Baker, Energy Star Administrative Assistant at SIG.
