Eli Sturm works with SIG’s consulting team as a sustainability analyst. His role entails assisting consultants throughout various stages of LEED, WELL, and Fitwel projects. Eli’s duties include gathering, documenting, and evaluating reporting data in order to verify sustainable practices for recertification compliance.
Eli is a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he is double majoring in Economics and Public Policy with a minor in Environmental Studies. He plans to graduate in May 2022.
Eli has been involved in several dimensions of the sustainability field before joining the SIG team. Working with a team of fellow UNC undergraduates, Eli recently completed a consulting project for the UN-chartered non-profit Sustainable Energy for All. His work focused on researching innovative finance mechanisms to increase commercial investment in developing economies’ renewable energy production with an emphasis on risk reduction tools. Additionally, Eli has experience in the climate change mitigation and adaptation space, as well as with conservation and water resource management.
Eli is an avid hiker and backpacker who enjoys spending his free time outdoors with friends, as well as reading, gardening, running, and traveling. Additionally, he is a lifelong soccer player and a diehard Arsenal supporter.
