ResponsibilitiesCam Burkacki works as an ESG Analyst at SIG. While both applying his skills, and learning a plethora of new ones, Cam is working to support building certification efforts that reduce buildings’ environmental footprint.
EducationCam is a senior studying Environmental Science, with a minor in Political Science, at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Cam is currently working on his undergraduate thesis, which makes the case for green building certifications as the future of the built environment.
ExperienceBefore working at SIG, Cam worked as a Research Assistant and Data Analyst for UMass’s “Adaptation of Water Utilities Study,” in which, he researched policies and decision-making processes of water suppliers around the United States. Additionally, Cam worked as a Lab Assistant and Data Analyst for the Massachusetts Pesticide Analysis Laboratory, where he conducted statistical analysis of data from laboratory experiments, and analyzed a multitude of pesticides and chemicals with liquid and gas chromatography.
After working with the Sustainability department at SIG for Fall 2022, assisting consultants with reporting data for various green building certifications, Cam has moved to the ESG department to learn more about the full dynamic process of sustainability in the built environment.
InterestsCam enjoys adventuring in the outdoors, especially on the beaches of his home, New England. He especially loves running and hiking. In addition, Cam enjoys reading and simply relaxing for a good movie. Cam is also a huge Patriots and Celtics fan!
