Responsibilities
Brian Bollinger is the Head of Communications for SIG’s parent company, Green Building Holdings (GBH), acting as Executive Spokesperson for the four GBH business units: Blue Ocean, SIG, GBES and Aetos. He enjoys serving the organization by furthering its mission of creating a healthier and greener world, while also equipping the green building industry with cutting edge education and innovative tools for success.

Education
Brian graduated from John Brown University and holds a Master of Business Administration in International Business and Ethics, with a focus on Global Supply Chain and Global Operations Management. In addition to being a LEED Green Associate, Brian is a Certified Energy Manager (Assoc. of Energy Engineers) and a member of the Alternative and Renewable Energy Development Institute.

Experience
Prior to GBH, Brian came from a diverse background in CSR, sustainability, green building design, energy conservation, and organization leadership. Most recently he served as Director of Sustainability at Insight Sourcing Group, after spending 14 years in international community development. In 2020 he was selected for Atlanta Magazine’s “500 List” of executives, influencers and up-and-coming leaders. Further, Brian led the programming, environmental design and engineering of Georgia’s first net-zero energy economic development center (Jolly Avenue Development Center), which received the largest ($300,000) “Grants to Green Innovation Prize” ever awarded by the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta. As a communicator, he has been interviewed on CNN, GPB and in print for various periodicals. He also had a leadership role in the development and production of the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival winning The Key, a virtual reality experience. He is also an occasional guest lecturer at various universities and clubs, including Georgia Tech, Emory University, the Center for Civic Innovation and the USGBC’s Equinox conference.

Interests
Brian, his wife and their two young boys enjoy camping, backpacking and any chance to go to the beach. But whenever he has ‘down time’ it’s often spent discovering new sustainability innovations in the built-environment or experimenting with new technologies.
