Bradley Vogel works out of SIG’s Minneapolis office as a Sustainability Consultant. In this role, he is tasked with managing and submitting LEED BD+C and LEED ID+C projects. In addition, he coordinates with general contractors and educates where needed, to facilitate documentation for building materials. Bradley also teaches for GBES (Green Building Education Services), providing first-hand knowledge students learning about the LEED GA and LEED AP ID+C coursework.
Bradley earned his Master of Science in Sustainable Management from the University of Wisconsin’s online extension program in 2017 and his Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from the University of Minnesota’s College of Education and Human Development in 2015.
While Brad was completing his degree from the University of Minnesota (UMN), he had the opportunity to volunteer on a Green Team at the 2014 MLB All Star Game at Target Field in Minneapolis, MN. From this opportunity, Brad learned about the blooming sports and sustainability discipline and decided to pursue this field as a career path. Upon graduating the UMN, Bradley immediately started to attend graduate school for Sustainable Management. During this time, Brad volunteered to run multiple Green Teams at Target Field (MN Twins) and Xcel Energy Center (MN Wild), as well as worked for a cleaning company that ran waste-sorting operations at Target Field and TCF Bank Stadium (UMN). As he was wrapping up his graduate degree coursework, he obtained a full-time position at U.S. Bank Stadium (MN Vikings) and was quickly promoted to the manager of stadium’s sustainability program. During his tenure at U.S. Bank Stadium, he oversaw a zero-waste Super Bowl, a silver sustainability certification by the Council for Responsible Sport for the 2019 NCAA Final Four Tournament, and was one of the key figures behind the LEED Platinum certification for Operations and Maintenance using the LEED V4.1 criteria, the first of its kind for any NFL Stadium.
Brad enjoys hiking, snowboarding, yoga, and camping. He is an avid soccer fan and works as a gameday statistician for Minnesota’s local soccer team, MN United Football Club. When he is not enjoying the outdoors, he enjoys reading books on American history, Native American history, and on World history.
