Anne Curtis Giovanelli is a member of the engineering and ENERGY STAR team at Sustainable Investment Group (SIG) as an Engineering Analyst. Her main responsibilities include assisting with commissioning testing, supporting LEED projects and applications through processes like energy audits, while also assisting with indoor environmental quality tests, with things such as indoor air quality. Also, she assists with ENERGY STAR walkthroughs, and the synthesis of the information needed to give a building a specific ENERGY STAR score.


Anne Curtis is entering her final semester of undergraduate studies at Auburn University and is expected to graduate in December 2021 with a Bachelor of Industrial and Systems Engineering. She earned her LEED Green Associate credential in April 2021.


Anne Curtis has previous experience constructing and researching thin film solar cells at the Hawaii Natural Energy Institute and co-authored an academic paper on her work published in the Journal of Materials Chemistry A. She has completed comprehensive course projects with emphasis on addressing real-world problems with linear programming optimization and simulation, the latter of which won the 2021 Southeast Regional Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers Technical Paper Competition.


In her free time Anne Curtis enjoys keeping up with Auburn athletics and experimenting in the kitchen. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading both fiction and nonfiction, and traveling to experience new places and things.
