We proudly announce that SIG and GBES team members will attend Greenbuild International Conference & Expo again this year! Greenbuild is the largest annual event for green building and focuses on sustainability, resilience, wellness, and health. The GBH family: SIG, GBES, BlueOcean and Aetos has attended several times and is excited to go again this year, especially as Greenbuild celebrates its 20th anniversary! The event will be held in San Francisco, California, from November 1st-3rd.

Greenbuild International Conference & Expo is a go-to for everything sustainable. It is a top-ranking event that brings the green building industry together, highlighting how community members are re-imagining what it means to build green, going beyond buildings to create greener communities, better workplaces, equitable programs, new sustainable solutions, and more! The conference will cover various topics, including design, innovation & application, health & well-being, net zero, market transformation, and more!

Greenbuild includes a jam-packed itinerary that will keep attendees busy for the duration of the conference. Some events to look forward to are workshops, tours, keynote speakers, the Women in Green luncheon, and the 20th-Anniversary Party. This event is also great for those looking for continuing education opportunities. Greenbuild offers an education-packed program that includes breakout sessions, keynotes, virtual content, and education labs to keep accreditations up to date.

The Greenbuild International Conference & Expo is known for bringing in remarkable keynote speakers to share their expertise; some noteworthy past speakers are former President Barack Obama, Amal Clooney, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and Paul Hawken. This year is no exception; the keynote speakers attending Greenbuild 2022 are Dr. Jean Rogers, Jane Fonda, and a third that has yet to be announced.

Dr. Jean Rogers is the Senior Managing director and Blackstone’s Global Head of ESG. She has extensive experience and has advanced sustainable development across the US, Europe, and China for over a decade. Dr. Jean Rogers will speak on Tuesday, November 1st, at 4:30 pm PST.

Jane Fonda is a two-time Academy Award-winning actress, activist, philanthropist, and author. She will discuss her 50-year-long advocating journey for the health and permanency of the planet. Jane will speak on Wednesday, November 2nd, at 9 am PST.

Greenbuild is a must-attend event for any green building professional this year! The conference has in-person and virtual options to make it easy to join.
